U.S. Rep. Paulina Luna (R-FL) said she is standing behind members of the House Oversight committee as it prepares to hold FBI Director Christopher Wray in contempt over documents in the Biden bribery case.

“Just left meeting for House Oversight,” the congresswoman said in a June 5 post on Twitter. “The @FBI is afraid their informant will be killed if unmasked, based on the info he has brought forward about the Biden family.”

According to an ABC News report, the Republican-led House Oversight committee is ready to take a vote of contempt over Wray’s withholding of documents surrounding President Biden’s alleged bribery scheme in which his family members received money from various businesses and organizations. The document describes the allegation of Biden accepting a bribe when he was vice president, and has been kept from the hands of Republican politicians by the FBI for months now. The ABC News report said after Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY) subpoenaed the FBI last month, he and Jamie Raskin (D-MD) were allowed to review the document behind closed doors, and with the informants named blacked out.

Luna said via Twitter that “House Oversight will begin contempt of Congress proceedings for FBI director Thursday,” after continued withholding from the Committee. She also said via Twitter that “According to the @FBI, Biden as VP was involved in a 5 million dollar bribery scheme with a foreign national.”

The Oversight Committee has enough Republican majority for the vote to stand, the first such vote against an FBI director in at least 40 years, Luna said.

This tense relationship between House Republicans and the FBI has gone on for years now, worsened by the recent release of the Durham report which showed no failures on the part of President Trump and instead a failure on the part of the FBI in their handling of the probe into Trump’s connections with Russia, CBS News reported.

Luna also shared a clip of an interview she did with Fox News where she said it was very important that Republicans continue to bring this forward to the American people.

“It’s simple: Christopher Wray needs to do his job and answer to Congress, or else he will be held in contempt,” Luna said in the interview. “What we’re seeing with the Biden family’s bribery schemes is clearly grounds for impeachment.”
