City Of Safety Harbor issued the following announcement on Feb. 14.
Recycling Drop-Off Site Reminders...
Do not put any trash into the recycling containers. When residents throw any trash in the recycling bin, it contaminates the entire load.
Contaminated items that we've recently found in our containers include:
Food
Furniture
Bags
Styrofoam Packing
Electronics
Contaminated recycling has to be taken to the solid waste facility and not processed for recycling. It ruins the entire load.
Help us keep our drop-off sites clean and sending items to the recycling center.
