City Of Largo issued the following announcement on Sep. 30.
City of Largo Team Members from across the organization reported for duty on Tuesday, September 27 as our City began to prepare for the impact of Hurricane Ian. In preparation for the storm, team members took calls from Largo residents, assisted residents with special needs evacuations, and prepared shelters for our family members.
During the storm, they sheltered in place to ensure they were ready to respond as soon as conditions allowed. After the storm, Team Largo assessed any damage in the community even before daylight and ensured the streets were safe for our residents to come home.
Thank you to all of those who served our residents and team members during this difficult time. Our employees are truly what makes Largo the Community of Choice in Tampa Bay.
