City Of Auburndale issued the following announcement on Aug. 27.
Multiple Road Closures to Slow Polk Traffic Starting Monday
Excerpt - Road improvements for a new Publix shopping center in north Auburndale will keep William Van Fleet Road (County Road 559A) closed until mid-November. Traffic will continue to be briefly detoured along State Road 559 and C. Fred Jones Blvd.
Other active construction projects continue to affect traffic countywide. Motorists should always drive carefully, be alert to crews and equipment, and follow detour signs.
