City Of Largo issued the following announcement on Aug. 19.
Last week, members of the City of Largo Commission joined hundreds of other elected officials from across the state to learn, share ideas, and discuss strategies to better serve their communities at the Florida League of Cities, Inc. 2022 Annual Conference. Representing more than 400 municipalities, the Florida League of Cities serves as the united voice for local government, promoting Home Rule and serving as a forum to exchange ideas with other elected officials. Together, we advocate for local voices making local choices to protect and strengthen our communities.
The Largo Youth Leadership Council also participated in this event along with nearly a dozen other municipal youth councils from across Florida to learn more about civic engagement, develop leadership skills, and discuss ways to help make a difference for other young people in their community.
