City Of Dunedin issued the following announcement on Apr. 25.
Light pollution is a big issue in Pinellas and the Tampa Bay region. It not only wastes energy, but also negatively impacts wildlife. Numerous species of plants and animals have evolved to use the moon and celestial lighting to navigate, find food, mate, bloom, and migrate. Artificial lights disrupt these natural cycles and processes.
Light pollution and glare from bright, unshielded lights can decrease public safety as well as cause negative human health impacts. Certify your home through the International Dark-Sky Association and learn more here: https://loom.ly/34NsjLs
