Calvary Christian High School issued the following announcement on Feb 27.
What a great start to the season for the Warriors girls and boys track and field teams! Records were broken, and trophies and medals were won! The boys team took first overall out of 16 teams, while the girls finished as runners-up. Top point scorers for the girls were Sophie Haag, Hailey Howard, and Sarah Martinez. Leading the boys were Sam Romerhaus, Canaan Burnett, and Camden Hayslett.
Romerhaus set a new school record in the javelin, and Hayslett in the pole vault. Records could continue to fall each week for this group of skilled student athletes.
The Warriors travel to Seminole HS on Friday to compete in the Warhawk Invitational. Great job student athletes and coaches! It’s going to be a fun season! #WeAreWarriors
