SAN JOSE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL: San Jose was built on an orange grove, and there are still many orange trees in Hammock Park

Orange

San Jose Elementary School issued the following announcement on Oct. 25.

San Jose was built on an orange grove, and there are still many orange trees in Hammock Park. Oranges are painted everywhere in Dunedin and it's our unofficial symbol in the city. Before the remodel, Mrs. Lumm was instrumental in getting a Dunedin Orange painted on the office door.

The general contractor saved it off the office door and Principal Brown's husband made a custom frame for it so that it could be displayed in the renovated front office. Mrs. Lumm got the honor of re-hanging it prior to our open house.
