CITY OF DUNEDIN: Dunedin has a lightning warning system

Lightning

City Of Dunedin issued the following announcement on July 2.

Did You Know?  Dunedin has a lightning warning system.  When lightning strikes within 5 miles of the sensor at the community center, a combination of strobe and sirens are emitted at various sports, aquatics complexes and parks. When this alarm is activated, seek shelter! Please don't duck into a dugout, or stand under a tree, GET INSIDE, (even your car is safer).
