434 seniors over 79 who were in US test positive for COVID-19 during week ending February 11

There were 434 seniors over 79 who were in the United States tested positive for COVID-19 during the week ending February 11, according to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention.

Out of those who provided figures, 138 individuals were hospitalized and 10 were admitted to the ICU. The gender breakdown was 40 percent male and 60 percent female.

The American Academy of Pediatrics and the Children's Hospital Association stated that in the United States, children represent about 9 percent of all COVID-19 cases. The Mayo Clinic points out that children of all ages can contract COVID-19 but most don’t become as ill as adults and some show no symptoms at all.
