The Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office K-9 Unit will hold its annual K-9 Memorial Service on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. The event will take place at Curlew Hills Memory Gardens Pet Cemetery in Palm Harbor.

This memorial service is organized to honor retired police canines that have passed away. More than 100 service dogs are currently interred at the cemetery. This year, two Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office canines—Reggie and Hector—will be added to the memorial.

Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office canine “Reggie” is survived by his handler, Lieutenant Mike Kilian. Canine “Hector” is survived by his handler, retired Deputy Brad Byers.

The event will be attended by current and former K-9 handlers along with their canine partners. The public is welcome to attend the service, and members of the media are invited to cover the event.
