After 31 years of dedicated service to IRCS Athletics, Phil Farver, Director of Athletic Operations, has announced his plans to retire at the end of this school year.

Indian Rocks Christian School would like to express our sincere and heartfelt appreciation to Coach Farver for his faithful service to our ministry since 1992. Over three decades, he helped establish our school’s athletic program beginning with the Eagles football team.

By 1998, Coach Farver had contributed to the development of our athletic program as a mentor, coach, and leader, sending our Girls Basketball team to the Regional Semi-Final games for the very first time. That same year, our Girls Cross Country team won their first District Championship and our Varsity Football team advanced to the State playoffs. Additionally, Phil assisted in the ground-breaking development of the Eagle’s Nest Athletic Complex.

Today, IRCS is proud to offer over 35 athletic teams to our 6th-12th grade students thanks to Phil’s expansion efforts of our athletic program. Our Boys Cross Country team won back-to-back State Championships and every varsity team has advanced in District and Regional play. IRCS Athletics is a thriving, championship-winning program thanks to his foundational work.

Help us honor Coach Farver and his legacy of excellence with the IRCS Eagles by leaving a memory or words of appreciation in the comments below. Additionally, stay tuned for more information on an upcoming farewell event where you can send your best wishes to Coach Farver as he steps into retirement.
